It's the female counterpart to another piece I have done. When I had finished the lineart I was standing before the problem of not knowing how to colour her. I didn't want to give her bis scales as I gave him and any colourscheme I could come up with was boring, so I just added some swirls to her skin, because one can never have enough swirls. ^^

This was a painting I did in 2005 for a class assignment. The predator characters are theoretically upper-class ladies and gentlemen in an upper-class club/bar setting, looking aggressive, drinking blood. The message is about how the upper-class preys on and takes advantage of the lower-class (here represented by the prey species icons in the beer taps). I don't usually down-talk my work, but I can see the technical flaws in this now, a year and a half later. That, and it actually photographed horribly. Board, 30" long

Kid Keys Dragon by Brian Reynolds

This is a number of final frames from the animation work I did on the game title "Kid Keys", a typing tutor software package for children. I did the animation work on paper and then cleaned up and colored the resultant scans using the in house software "Spritemaker". Despite the relatively low target specs for the software (I think 386 to 486 processors at the time) the animation ended up looking really nice. Maurice Kimball illustrated the background.

So! I've finally gotten around to drawing a new ref for DJ. I never liked the anatomy in the old one. I think she's also about 10 years old now. (the Gemhorn dragons came first) Pretty basic, I think, finally have a proper size reference. The size on the old one well, I really didn't calculate it correctly, so it's all wrong. She's so big I have nothing to really get relative sizes from, other than some dinosaurs. Drawn and colored in openCanvas 3, but text and such was done in Photoshop

ESPAÑOL: Sobre el dibujo, bueno.. quien mejor para calentar esta Navidad que con CARMELITA FOX, el personaje de videojuegos que mas me gusta 8F, el dibujo lo empeze a eso de las 12 de la noche y lo termine como por ahi de las 5am X_X, si soy bastante lento pero miren como quedo ^^, ah pero eso es sin contar el coloreado que me tomo otras 4 horas, quise que el tipo de color sea tal y como el original. Espero sea de su agrado. Lineart hecho a mano, lapiz 4H y pluma de gel; color: Photoshop CS3. No me lato del todo el background pero.. ya tengo sueño.
